In the 1930's, Franz Goebel wanted to introduce a line of lovely country children figurines that he hoped would soften a world harden by political turmoil. With drawnings by a Francisian nun, Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel, and the talents from the gifted artists of the Munich Academy, Hummel figurines were born. These figurines have been highly valued and sought after collectibles since their creation.
Please look for the Goebel trademark stamped on the underside of each figurine for evidence of authenticity.
